Letters to editors
Starting with Measures 66/67 I have been writting letters to the LO Review. To my surprise I have had them all accepted, 6 or 7, and have had people comment on them out of the blue. Beyond 66/67 my impetus for this was reading the Federalist Papers.
Hamilton, Jay, and Madison laid out a plan to convince people to ratify the Constitution. Each paper deals with a specific issue that is argued in favor of the Constitution. My non 66/67 letters had a plan to them, and I wondered if they would be printed. Maybe news was slow, but they all were.
I am recuriting. I think with a concerted effort a band of 5 or 6 writers could get together and do some guerrilla marketing for canditates and issues. A letter I wrote came from the ideas in the 5000 year leap regarding left is total government and right is anarchy. The intent was to stop thinking Dem/Rep and think Big vs Small and where had the Founders placed the Constitution. It was published.
If it made it into the Review, how about the school newpapers at the colleges or the rural areas where we need to get the conservatives to offset Portland. I have several ideas and would like to share them with some others to see if we can make a writting team through November. Pointed ideas in addition to lawn signs. No editors, just our own views in our own words, but following a goal as the Federalist Papers did.
This is not a class. This is not 912 sponsored. I am a businessman and not a professional writer. I am committed to the Constitution and restoring its values. I just have some ideas.
If you would be interested email me at dbarra@cascadetool.com. We can figure out how to meet once we see what the interest level is.

It's an excellent idea Dave. I know an individual who would like to get involved who has a keen way with the written word. I'll talk with him and maybe we can get something going.
