Fellow Patriots!!  Wow, what a week-end!! It is still a little tough to wrap my mind around what just happened, what I experienced, what I learned, who I met, what I saw.  And, just as tough to wrap my arms around the incredible people, the FAMILY of 500,000+ who just shared the biggest family reunion experience of our lives!  There are many of our Oregon family who helped to maximize our experience by organizing, communicating, and keeping us collectively focused on the details of being there.  Thanks to Art Scevola and Kristi Halvorson who had the foresight to stake out our spot at 9am FRIDAY morning!!  What a “spot” it was!!!  In the shade and “three trees down” from the stage!! ….we had tarps and chairs they hired a taxi to go buy at Target in Virginia!!  We had numerous people who volunteered to guard our spot the entire 24 hours before the event:    Ellen Warring and her mother  from Orlando, Carol Tebo who went at midnight and  spent the night, and several others who joined them over the course of the day and night.  Our experience would not have been nearly as comfortable or enjoyable if not for the many people who played a role to make it so.  Carole Fairchild provided us the convenience of contact info which REALLY came in handy. Some of you we never did see but hope you found each other under another tree in the shade. We are so blessed, I am blessed…not only to have actually attended Restoring Honor but also to have attended it with all of you.  It is now time to get down on my knees, as Glenn asked us to do, to pray for our country …..  . I will also thank him for all of you and our wonderful Oregon family.
