Tues June 8 Commissioner Meeting ALERTS

Both Clackamas County and Washington Counties have important issues to address at their respective meetings tonight. So if you are in either one of these counties please read the details of each below. It is VITAL that you participate in your county government! Every layer of control they are allowed to create, means every layer of liberty we loose.  Let your voices be heard!

From AFP Clackamas: Please come tonight to the

Clackamas County Commissioners Meeting
Tuesday, June 8, 6:30 PM
Commissioners Board Room, 4th floor.
2051 Kaen Rd. Oregon City

Clackamas County Commissioners will pass a tree ordinanceto limit your property rights unless you tell them that youdon't want it at their public hearing on June 8th.

To convey your message: attend the public hearing; give testimony; and, let the commissioners know just what you think of their tree ordinancefor areas within Unincorporated Clackamas County and the Urban Growth Boundary.

ZDO-219 requires you to purchase a permit for the following:

  • To cut any tree larger than 8” in diameter

  • Only 2 trees or 10% of trees on your property can be cut every 2 years

  • A certified arborist report is required to cut a diseased or hazardous tree

  • Trees cut must be replaced with approved county list trees

  • If a utility company requires a tree to be removed, you have to buy the permit and replace the trees they cut

What they don’t tell you…

  • What your cost of permits or fines would be

  • Your cost for a tree survey and the cost to hire a certified arborist

  • The county’s cost to administer this ordinance

  • And the fact that there is no appeal

If you love your trees, your property, and want to preserve your rights
to make your own decisions on the management and care of your own
property without having to buy permits, hire arborists, and have the
county tell you what you can do…

Attend The Public Hearing & Make Your Comments Heard:

Washington County Voter Integrity

Please join Ruth Bendl, Voter Integrity Chair at the

Washington County Commissioners  evening meeting on
June 8th 6.30 p.m. at the
Public  Service Building (ground floor)
1st and Main St. in Hillsboro.

Those willing  to attend could join Ruth and others at the nearby Elmers at 5:30 pm so we can pre-gather prior to the Commissioners Meeting.

Your support is needed, during Audience time, (which is at the beginning of  the meeting agenda), to express concerns about the following ballot handling issues:

  •  Observers inability to properly monitor the verification of voter signatures  on the outer envelopes of ballots,

  •   The lack of records of numbers of ballots picked up from ballot drop-sites  and WHEN.

  •  The loss of ballot secrecy when ballots are removed from Secrecy envelopes  prior to election day.

  •  Why ballots are mailed to HAVA non-compliant voters.

Please contact Ruth if you also want to submit testimony in support of the above   concerns.

Tree thing...Oregon

Tree thing...Oregon City

Thanks to all who participated in the County Counsel meeting 6/8/10. With over 80 people who signed to speak the counselors. I think the majority was ours among the liberty takers. Whether we persuaded the council, we will see. We have it on record that We the people do not support the measure. The counsel voted to see the the listed names that left early the 28th of June ONLY. Speaking twice is not allowed. Counsel will accept written letters or notes by contacting them.

This was my first ever counsel meeting of any kind. Some how I feel this will not be my last. I will be more prepared than I was tonight. For one take written notes of what you want to say. Keep in 3 minute format.

Charloette Lehan commented at the end which was a spitting copy of Nacy Pelosi "We want closure on this"
Meeting adjourned at 1033PM

It's not the trees...it's the loss of liberty
