Urban Renewal Clackamas Style

Thursday July 7th, 2011 at 2:30 PM

The Clackamas County Commissioners will be attending

Part 2 of an urban renewal discussion on the formation

of urban renewal districts in Clackamas County to pay for

light rail, streetcars, and other projects within the county.

Currently, the county is working on the formation of the McLoughlin

urban renewal district, estimated to cost of over $100 million.

District lines are being discussed as the project is being laid out.

How many people will be within the district and how much will each

taxpayer pay? What is the county's share and how much will

police, fire, and schools lose unless we do something about it?

Come to the meeting, listen to, and gather information from the

commissioners and the department of development

to know what they are up to at your expense.

(After McLoughlin urban renewal, the street car urban renewal district is next).
