iCaucus Wins Another One !
Frank Anderson and the iCaucus team
helped “un-elect” and get rid of another
compromised incumbent; Senator Bob Bennett of Utah!
Senator Bennett, an 18 year incumbent, was the chief Republican architect of the TARP bailout "sweeteners" - which was what the Senate called the $150 billion worth of bribes used to convince reluctant House members to pass the TARP bailout bill.
He is now officially a lame duck Senator and the first incumbent knocked out of office in 2010…even though he outspent iCaucus endorsed candidates by more than 20 to 1!
We did not accomplish this alone. iCaucus worked with several Utah based Tea Party, 912, and other patriotic groups in a concerted effort to make this happen. It is now time to start reaching out more rapidly to patriotic groups all over the country so we can unite behind ONE principled candidate in each race, like we did here in Utah.
This outreach has already started on a small scale. For example, this coming weekend I have been invited up to Oregon to do an iCaucus presentation for the “Oregon Coalition-In- Action” Tea party and 912 groups of both Portland and Salem. And I received the following email from a Texas I-Caucus leader on Monday:
“Dear Frank,
Ousting Bob Bennett has put Independence Caucus on the map more than anything I have seen…I called last night to let you know that the San Antonio Tea Party wants to work with us in at least 3 campaigns.”
However, we need to move to the next level and immediately start inviting patriotic groups to dozens and hopefully hundreds of more meetings in order to have the best possible chance of getting the most principled candidates elected in 2010. It's the only way to beat the party money!
