REGISTRANTS CHECK-IN INFORMATION
Dear Coalitions in Action Registrants,
Before we head over to Aldersgate tomorrow (address below) to get everything set up, we
want to let you know what the check-in procedure is and hopefully
answer any lingering questions you may have. We are gratified that so
many of you will be in attendance and have done everything we can to
make it a memorable and smooth-running day for all!
CHECK-IN: BEGINS AT 7:30 AM. The Opening Ceremonies will begin
promptly at 9 a.m. We don't want you to miss them, and we don't
want our Registration Team to miss them either! PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE
FOR CHECK-IN NO LATER THAN 8:30 AM.
Another reason to check in early is to allow yourself time to
browse the Silent Auction. We have some incredible items donated by
our members and friends--something sure to entice everyone! Our
Coalition Sponsors will have tables in the main auditorium that you may
want to browse, as well. Once the convention begins, browsing time will
be limited to breaks and lunchtime.
It would help keep congestion down if one person from your party
stands in line to pick up your registration bags. Others may wait
in the lobby or begin browsing in the Auction Room adjacent to the
Registration Room.
YOU NEED NO TICKET OR INVOICE TO CHECK IN: Simply give your name at the
registration table. A bag has been prepared for each individual
registrant. It contains your:
- NAME TAG (please wear at all times as evidence that you are
registered);
- RAFFLE TICKETS, if you purchased any. BE SURE TO FILL OUT THE STUBS AND
DEPOSIT in the box located on a table between the Oregon 912 table and
the 912 Salem table in the main auditorium. Raffle tickets can be
purchased at the convention.
- RED TICKET FOR YOUR LUNCH. You must turn in your ticket to receive
lunch!
- If you signed up for the workshop BOOTS ON THE GROUND, you will have a
gray ticket with a 1, 2 or 3 on it, referring to the 3 sessions. If at
all possible, please attend the session indicated on your ticket. Only
50 registrants will be allowed in each session. Those with tickets will
enter first.
- Also included in your packet: A map of the premises and the Conference Center; the Conference Program, a pen and pad for taking notes, an Evaluation Form for your post conference comments, and a copy of the Northwest Connection featuring an 8x10 promotion of our Convention on the back page
PRESS - Members of the Press will be in attendance. If you are
approached by a member of the press and don't feel you want to speak
with them, please refer them to our Press Contact Dave Candlish. Please
be mindful of what you say, and make sure it represents your views
only, not those of 912 or the other coalition groups. Remember that
anything you say will become a sound bite and not necessarily
representative of your complete thoughts.
Many of you offered to help with set-up and breakdown. At this point,
we really need your help breaking down and cleaning up as quickly as
possible. So, feel free to pitch in wherever you can.
MOST OF ALL--ENJOY THE DAY AND LEAVE REJUVENATED AND CHARGED FOR THE
WORK AHEAD!
